So, according to a Major League rat to Congress, Clemens joked in the NYY clubhouse about his wife and Canseco's ex comparing their breast augmentations at Canseco's party. You know, the party he wasn't at.
First of all, nice guy. I'll bet Mrs. Clemens appreciates that kind of joke.
Secondly, it doesn't look too good for the Great White Hope. Sorry, I am a Barry Bonds fan. It is righteous to see the blame distributed a little bit. I love living in a country that treats its honky scumbuckets and scumbuckets of color the same way.
One thing we've learned from all this is that Bonds has friends loyal enough to sit in jail for him, while Roger seems to be part of a uniformly low and traitorous weasel warren.
If Roger ever gets put away for perjury--not that there aren't more serious issues facing this country--but, if he ever does, you would think his Texas buddy W. would pardon him.
Better get a trial over with by 1.20.09.
But why did Clemens, Rusty Hardin, and the whole Congressional Tour Roadie Crew ever think they could get away with having Roger swear he wasn't at that party, when he'd spoken about it openly in the clubhouse?
