Unfortunate Business Name of the Week

This week's winner, from Warwick, Rhode Island:

A Triple Threat Performing Arts Center

I'll take two seats in the second balcony, please. Aisle, and make that near the exit; thank you.

I think before you leave a rude comment as you did for A Ttriple Threat Performing Arts Center, In Warwick RI you should do your research. This is a wonderful studio that educates children and as a mom of two girls who attend three of TTPAC programs I am insulted. Don't you have something better to do then pick on the a organization that not only offers quality but affordable prices to parents and children.

Hi, sorry you are insulted. I'm sure that it's a wonderful studio. I still think the name is unfortunate because for people who don't understand what "a triple threat" means in show business--what does it sound like?

I did not intend to pick on the organization, children, moms, parents, affordably priced performing arts studios (heaven knows!) or any such. Sorry, sorry, sorry if you are offended.

I think the name has potential humor in it--for people with the sense of humor to notice it. That's all.

Saying something is poorly named in my opinion doesn't mean I'm picking on the organization. It means I'm picking on its marketing effort.

I'm a writer and I teach a class on naming businesses. I think I'm entitled to my opinion.

But, look how good this whole exchange has been--now TTPAC gets publicity and a testiminonial.

Have a great day.

you may want two seats in the balcony near the door but in the end you would want to pay top $ for a front row seat and a back stage pass to meet those wonderful dancers and oh yeah the owner and choreographer

A triple threat pac is an amazing program. I have to say that their prices are reasonable and the teacher is a great girl who truly loves what she does. I think that anyone would undersatnd what "triple threat" means , so I think it was agreat choice in naming their type of buisness.

oh so you think the name stinks the teacher spent days deciding on a name and I am a student for dance theatre and vocal and I couldn't ask for anything better

a triple threat pac is one of a kind. Any one would know what a "triple threat" means in show buisness and this studio lives up to it's title. The woman who owns it is a "triple threat" and loves her students just like they were her own, that's why we keep coming back for more!
